ARCC is pleased to announce that the 2007 ARCC James Haecker Award for Distinguished Leadership in Architectural Research was given to Professor Marvin Malecha of North Carolina State University. Click the link above for information on making nominations for this prestigious award.

The ARCC Incentive Fund Award each year is offered to member institutions of ARCC to aid in the support of architectural research. This funding is intended to supplement and support ongoing efforts to disseminate findings of architectural research, the proposals are due on 30 October of each year and awarded for the following academic year.
The ARCC New Researcher Award each year is offered to member institutions of ARCC to acknowledge and reward emerging figures in architectural and environmental design research that demonstrate innovation in thinking, dedication in scholarship, contributions to the academy, and leadership within architectural and environmental design research, the proposals are due on 30 October of each year and awarded for the following academic year.
The Best Paper/ Presentation Award from the 2007 ARCC Research Conference in Jackson was awarded to Benjamin Gianni, Carleton University, for the paper "Phantom Housing: The Rise and Fall of Public Housing in North America."
The Best Paper/ Presentation Award from the 2006 ARCC/EAAE Research Conference in Philadelphia was awarded to Harry Giles and Kyoung-Hee Kim, University of Michigan, for the paper "Transparent Facade Panel Typologies Based of Receylcable Polymer Materials." and Claus Peder Pedersen and Henrik Oxvig, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, for the paper "Ceci n'est pas une pipe. The architectureal drawing between representation and function."

Theme issue editors and individual paper authors are sought for the ARCC Journal, ARCC's peer reviewed electronic research journal. Contact Brooke Harrington if you are interested in organizing a themed collection of papers or in submitting a single paper.
Worthwhile ARCC initiatives First generated in 1997 but still contains initiatives that are awaiting a leader and/or volunteers.
An ARCC listserve is available for research discussions and queries. The listserve provides a means of networking among ARCC members and other architectural and landscape architecture researchers.
