The following announcements point to resources or notices that may be of interest to ARCC members and others interested in research in architecture and related disciplines.
Planning is well underway for the 2009 ARCC Spring Research Conference, to be held in San Antonio in early April 2009.
NOTE: A Call for Papers will be active in the fall of 2008.
New ARCC officers and board members will be elected at the ARCC Annual Meeting -- November 2008. The ARCC Annual Meeting is being held in conjunction with the ACSA Administrator's Conference. Nominations for Board of Directors positions may be made to Leonard Bachman.
The Best Presentation Awards from the joint
EAAE/ARCC 2004 Research Conference in Dublin have been announced:

Demir, and Orcun Kepez from North Carolina State University
and
Ann Heylighen, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven

California-Berkeley.
The ARCC Annual Research Conference Best
Paper Awards for 2003 were presented to:
Alfredo Fernandez-Gonzalez, Ball State University -- Best Paper
Michael O'Brien, Virginia Tech University -- Honorable Mention
Andreas Savvides, Harvard Design

Theme issue editors and individual paper authors are sought for the ARCC Journal, ARCC's peer reviewed electronic research journal. Contact Brooke Harrington if you are interested in organizing a themed collection of papers or in submitting a single paper.
ARCC is pleased to announce that the 2003 ARCC James Haecker Award for Distinguished Leadership in Architectural Research was given to Prof. Robert Shibley of the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Click the link above for information on making nominations for this prestigious award.

An ARCC listserve is available for research discussions and queries. The listserve provides a means of networking among ARCC members and other architectural and landscape architecture researchers.
