Benefits of being member

Some of the services the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC) provides its members include:
  • Research referral services and advice through the ARCC President and Board.
  • ARCC News and Reports edited at Lawrence Technological University and summerized two times a year for members. The digital newsletter is open for any member to submitt notices, reports or other forms of promotion and dissemination. This allows member institutions to promote their research programs, projects and faculty in addition to informing the ARCC community of upcoming conference, award and journal calls. The newsletter is disseminated through several outlets and reaches a large audience of active architectural researchers.
  • One international research conferences per year. Odd years are conferences hosted by an ARCC member institution on subjects of widespread interest to members. Even years are joint conferences with the European Association of Architecture Education (EAAE). Past conferences can be found on the ARCC conferences page.
  • Access to the ARCC awards program. Only members of the ARCC are eligible to be nominated for any of the funded or prestige based awards in the program. Awardes include the New Researcher, the King Medal, the Incentive Fund, the Best Paper and the Haecker Award
  • Annual meetings, usually held in conjunction with the ACSA Administrators Conference, typically have a program that deals with research infrastructure. At that same conference we also host a keynote session dedicated to our Haecker Award Winner.
  • Periodic fact sheets.
  • Consultations for researchers, center directors, and academic administrators on issues related to research and development programs.
  • Continuing advocacy to related organizations and agencies.
  • Sponsorship of focus sessions at conferences of collateral organizations. For example, ARCC has sponsored sessions at the ACSA Annual Meetings .(such as "Architecture, Ethics, Research" in 2011, and “The Context of Research in Integrated Technology” in 2012.
  • Networking with colleagues through the ARCC Web site and digital communication outlets.
